Dr Zorana Zupan to lead the Social, Behavioral, and Organizational Theme of the 2016 internship

zupanzoranaWe are delighted to re-introduce Dr Zorana Zupan, who recently received her PhD in Psychology at the University of Warwick. She will lead the Social, Behavioral, and Organizational Theme for the 2016 JRP internship. She is now a postdoctoral researcher at the Behaviour and Health Research Unit of the University of Cambridge, having recently been a key contributor to the early years of the GHAP project.

Biography

Zorana received a Bachelor degree and a Msc in Psychology at the University of Belgrade. While completing those, she interned at the Institute for Mental Health in Belgrade where she performed psycho-diagnostics. In 2012, she became involved with the JRP as its first ever Research Officer.
She is an expert in cognitive psychology and has investigated the development of the human ability to control inhibition in visual attention. She is now conducting research on the role that certain cognitive mechanisms have on behaviour and health, especially in response to environmental contexts and interventions. Her aim is to understand the mechanisms of behavioural change to provide evidence for policy-making. Her vast experience across many disciplines within psychology will allow this summer’s interns to learn a great deal about translating findings from research into policy.
