JRP Heroes: Introducing Dr. Charles Jacob

CharlesFor the fourth of our Heroes, we are delighted to present you Dr Charles Jacob from LaSalle University in Philadelphia (US). Based on the recommendation of a former student of his and active JRP member, Dr Jacob was invited to the 2015 JRPC, contributing through putting together a hugely insightful programme on research ethics for young psychologists. He has since carried on as an advisor to the programme through his efforts in helping the JRP Team to build a larger ethical advisory mechanism in support of each project. The eventual aim will be to provide this for all young researchers, not just within the programme.

We are honoured to call Dr Jacob a friend of the JRP. In his words: “When I heard about what JRP was doing – intercultural research for psychology students – I was interested to see if I could help out. When I actually spent time with the students and team, I knew right away that this was an organization I wanted to be involved with for years to come. The commitment, passion, and talent demonstrated by the folks at JRP is inspiring to say the least.”

We encourage you to check out more about Dr Jacob, Assistant Professor of Psychology at LaSalle University and President-Elect of the Pennsylvania Counseling Association. (http://bit.ly/1N8jp7V).
