JRP Heroes: Introducing Dr Sam Norton

Sam Norton Family (2) - CopyOne of the most vital aspects of the JRP is our relationship with senior academics. While Dr Sam Norton of King’s College, London, is still early in his career, he absolutely qualifies as a senior expert.

Already published in some of the highest medical and psychological journals in the world, his work has received tremendous coverage in recent years. He is a highly advanced statistician who works on a variety of models related to ageing on top of his role in directing the postgraduate course in health psychology at King’s. For the JRP, he has been our most active professional advisor dating back to his invitation to lecture at the 2013 summer school in Belgium. Since then, he has repeatedly contributed to the programme on many levels, and we are pleased to announce for the first time that he is offering yet another opportunity.

Beginning in summer 2016, Sam will be hosting an additional internship for past members of the JRP in London. In a format different to the current internship, JRP alumni are invited to attend a trainee programme, working with Dr Norton and his colleagues to develop skills within an existing health project. We are thrilled for his proposal to host this and encourage anyone interested to check out further details here.

Many thanks to yet another Hero and please join us in wishing him all the best with this incredible endeavour!
