JRP Heroes: Introducing Mr. Peter Edelsbrunner

PeterFor the second part of our Hero Series, allow us to introduce you to Mr Peter Edelsbrunner. Peter is a knowledgeable statistician with a passion for Bayesian approaches. Part of the 2011-2012 cohort, a dedicated JRP conference participant, and now a third-year PhD student at the ETH Zurich, he has twice volunteered to lead a workshop at the JRP Conferences (2014 and 2015).
His last workshop involved teaching other early career psychologists about Bayesian analysis. Says Peter: “A good conceptual understanding of statistics and knowledge of its foundations help researchers acknowledge its limitations and potential. Learning about Bayesian statistics is a great way to explore the role of statistics in science and why we use it in certain ways. I was therefore happy to teach about these approaches and hope to be able to further support and be part of this talented and motivated crowd.”
Our thanks to Peter for his extensive contribution to young psychologists!
