Lenka Knapová getting local, international recognition

LenkaLenka Knapová is part of the current JRP cohort and a bachelor student in psychology at the Faculty of Social Sciences of Masaryk University.

Lenka recently won a round of awards for her bachelor thesis: Relationship between selected personality traits and performance under pressure in sports. Inspired by her passion for orienteering running, she linked performance in the sport to trait anxiety under pressure (Read the details of her work here). Not only is the topic of great importance in the field of sport psychology, but she went above and beyond to collect data in the real context of orienteering running competitions, and to analyse data using Bayesian statistical models.

Her achievements earned her the prestigious I. A. Bláhy Award within her faculty, followed by first place at the Psychology Research Article Competition. Not satisfied with that, she represented her faculty at the Czech-Slovak competition of psychology research articles and won – with her bachelor project – the top prize in the Master’s category! We are thrilled for Lenka and the possibilities she inspires for other young psychologists.

If you are a Czech speaker, find articles about Lenka’s awards here and here.

We are delighted to know her and look forward to what she will be doing next!
