Publications: GHAP with the World Health Organization

ghap_newsPerhaps the most ambitious of all activities taken on within the JRP has been the Global Health Access Policy project, which was the focus of the JRP internship for three years. While it was a huge challenge and involved over 100 collaborators, its impact is now unmistakeable. This is in part because the first phase of the study has just been released in the latest edition of The Bulletin, which is the peer-review journal published by the World Health Organization.

The article, which presents a framework for improving evidence to support patients that travel across borders for health care, is authored entirely by JRP contributors – Ladislav Zalis, Christopher Meurice, Terry-Lisa Ly, Zorana Zupan, Ian Hilton – several of whom were contributors to the first cohort and internship during 2011-12. This study introduces a pathway for scientifically improving access to healthcare on a global level.
It is the highest impact publication ever released by the programme and will be the first of several in the coming months as a result of the GHAP project. Check it out at the link below. (Image credit: Mr Ian Hilton)
