Tobias Wingen – Junior Researcher and Communications Officer for Dr Angelos Kassianos’ team looking at quality of life – is on a roll. He recently obtained the much coveted Deutschlandstipendium – Germany’s national governmental scholarship – and shortly after, he received a further research grant from the Zentrum für Soziales und Ökonomisches Verhalten (Center for Social and Economic Behaviour) for his master thesis. Only the top 1% of students are honoured with the national scholarship and Tobias is eager to see more young psychologists apply to support work in the field: ‘The scholarship will create opportunities for my future scientific career and allow me to continue projects with considerable focus. I want to inspire my JRP friends as well as students everywhere to pursue such funding.’ – Mr Tobias Wingen, Erasmus+ student in Maastricht University (the Netherlands) and Research Assistant in Applied Social Psychology at the University of Cologne (Germany).
We look forward to seeing what he does next!
