The JRP wants to extend warm congratulations to Mrs Miriam Ashford (née Thiel) and her husband Curtis for the new addition to their family, Kayla, who joined us on the 1st of March! Miriam was the Research Officer of the JRP for 2014-2015 and remains a dear friend of the JRP. Her studies and research in clinical and health psychology has included stops at the University of Luxembourg, the University of Hamburg, the University of Sussex, and at Stanford University’s School of Medicine. Splitting time between California and England, she is currently working towards her PhD at City University, London, where she is developing internet-based psychotherapy programs adapted to women with perinatal mental health issues. Her work has already earned her many awards, including several from both City University and the British organisation PsyPAG.
