Abstract
In 2019, 38 million children under the age of 5 were overweight or obese. Our research will pursue a better understanding of child food-related behaviour around the world involving children from six different countries: Brazil, China, Italy, Germany, and Slovenia. Cognitive factors, such as executive functions, have been shown to moderate health-related behaviors in adults (Stautz et al., 2018). The goal of this study is to investigate sweets consumption behavior in children in relation to their cognitive development and cultural factors.
