The JRP is a programme which encourages the exchange of skills and experience between like-minded people. We aim to create an atmosphere where people can learn from each other and do research together.
In 2020, we launched a Mentoring System, which allows alumni to stay involved with the JRP and pass their knowledge and expertise on to new cohorts!
The JRP Mentoring System – What it is and how alumni can benefit from it
The JRP Mentoring System is a database with the contact details, research interests, and areas of expertise of alumni, which will be provided to new cohorts.
With the help of the system, new teams can contact alumni whenever they come across questions throughout their research or would like to reach out for advice to another JRP member. It is a unique way to enables alumni from different cohorts to stay engaged with each other and provide feedback and support.
Do you want to become a jMentor?
If you are a JRP alumnus/alumna, you have the chance to register as a jMentor. In this role, you will advise the new cohort and answer research or managerial questions regarding their projects. That includes your opinion, guidance, and advice.
The teams can contact you with specific questions they might have about the research topic, methodology, analysis, preregistration, etc., based on your area of expertise, or ask you more general questions about your JRP experience.
If you want to join the Mentoring System, feel free to contact our alumni team via [email protected].
You can find more information about it on our fact sheet and register via this link.
