JRP announces first Board of Directors

The Junior Researcher Programme is very proud of the growth that has happened over recent years and the improved opportunities we have been able to provide for early career researchers. This growth would not have been possible without increasing engagement from stakeholders, supporters, participants, and especially the number of people actively engaged in shaping the programme as members of the team.  For the 2019-2020 period, we have again received a great number of impressive applications from individuals who want to support the JRP in its mission to create opportunities for early-career researchers and make a positive impact on behavioural sciences as a whole. In order to be most efficient with such a high number of actively engaged members, the JRP is undergoing a change in structure. As of today, the Team will be steered by a  Board of Directors, instead of a single Director.

The Board is lead by Dr Kai Ruggeri as Executive Director, responsible for the overall direction of the Programme. He is supported by Hannes Jarke as Director of Operations, overseeing most event preparations and the general running and administration of the JRP. Silvana Mareva takes on the role of Director of Research,  leading all scientific aspects. Matilde Boccanera, jSchool Director, continues to be responsible for all aspects of jSchool, the core event of the programme. This board is supported by long-term Team member Eduardo Garcia-Garzon as Non-acting Director, who will observe the programme development and will be the deciding vote for decisions that do not reach a majority among the other four Directors.

Please join us in welcoming the new Board of Directors. We are looking forward to introducing their new Team during the upcoming weeks!
