Sandra Matz to lead the Big Data Theme of the 2016 internship

SandraMatz1Some of you may recognise Ms Sandra Matz from the Psychology and Policy Lecture Series last summer, where she presented her work on consumer personality and behavior. Now she is back as one of the five Theme Leaders of the 2016 JRP Internship. Her role will be to lead the Big Data team, who will compile evidence relevant to policies.

Biography

Sandra Matz completed her undergraduate studies at the Univerity of Freiburg in 2013. Now a PhD student at the University of Cambridge, she is pursuing her research interests at The Psychometrics Centre and with businesses worldwide. She is investigating the potential of using predictions of individual differences (mainly personality) from digital footprint in digital marketing and recruitment. She won the Data IQ New Talent Award in 2014 and was named one of the DataIQ 100 most influential people in data driven marketing in both 2015 and 2016. Earlier this year, she was also named one of the 30 top thinkers under 30 by the Pacific Standard Magazine. More recently, her research on happiness and consumer preferences has received worldwide attention.
