Project outline

Vaccine hesitancy is listed among the top ten threats to global health. This means that a growing number of people are delaying or refusing to get vaccinated. Therefore, policy makers need evidence-based recommendations about how to effectively communicate the importance of vaccination to the public. Our project aims to explore whether communicating social norms about vaccination and whether educating people about herd immunity can increase vaccine uptake. This will be done through an online experimental study. The first study will be run in the UK, followed by replication in Serbia and one other European country.
