JRP Supervisors 2025 - 2026
JRP Supervisors 2025 – 2026
Are you a PhD student or postdoctoral researcher in psychology looking to gain hands-on experience leading your own international research project? Do you have a topic you are eager to explore across multiple countries and languages?

The Junior Researcher Programme (JRP) is recruiting six enthusiastic PhD students and postdoctoral researchers to become Research Supervisors for jSchool 2026, which will take place in the beautiful Tuscan countryside.

What is jSchool?

jSchool is the annual starting point for the JRP, a volunteer-driven, non-profit initiative enabling psychology students to undertake a 13-month research project under the mentorship of early-career researchers — like you!

Each year, several PhD students and postdocs are selected to join the Junior Researcher Programme as Research Supervisors. Projects of successful Supervisors are then advertised to University students of all levels (from undergraduate to postgraduate) and from all nationalities, who can apply to join one of the projects as part of a research team. Research Supervisors oversee their research team (Bachelor and Master students), from the start of the jSchool in June to the end of the Junior Researcher Programme Conference in August the following year.

Theme

The theme of this year’s jSchool will be Psychological Science in a Digital Age: From Individual Well-Being to Societal Processes. More details about the theme are available in the Research Supervisor Application Guidance. And you can find more about the theme and venue for the jSchool 2026 here.

We understand decision making broadly and encourage applications for projects across all areas of psychology and behavioural sciences that relate to questions regarding the digital world. We particularly encourage exploring the trade-offs of individual-level behaviour and interventions and system-level interventions in this context, as well as potential policy implications. If you have any questions to ask, doubts to be cleared, or feedback to provide regarding the supervisor applications, theme, and selection process please email the Research Officer, Friederike Stock, at [email protected].
