His work on human rationality revolutionised economic thinking and psychology such that it is hard to imagine modern behavioural economics without him.

It was his and Amos Tversky’s Prospect Theory that inspired us to expand the JRP Internship and to attempt a multi-country replication of this highly influential and Nobel Prize winning work. For most, if not all, of our researchers it was the biggest study undertaken in their career at that point. Kahneman’s support of our critically evaluating and (successfully) replicating his work served as crucial reinforcement in our commitment to continuing global replications.

We are not qualified to provide an obituary for Daniel Kahneman. However, we are in a place to say thank you for taking the time to reassure a group of young researchers that their work matters.
